Earlier yesterday, Eddy County Zoning issued a notice regarding Flickertail Wind's

Application for a Wind Energy Facility Siting Permit. I would like to provide clarification.

Eddy County Zoning has not rejected Flickertails Wind's permit application. Rather, during a review of the application and the applicable zoning ordinances, there was concern that there may need to be modification to the Eddy County Zoning Ordinances in order to proceed.

This decision is not a reflection on Flickertail Wind or the merits of the project, but rather a responsibility of the Zoning Commission.
